Leslie

STATUS: NOT ADOPTABLE

After being hit by a car in 2007, Leslie sustained severe injuries that needed immediate medical attention. In the blink of an eye, she was surrendered to a local Humane Society.

Thankfully, they were able to provide her with a much-needed hip surgery to save her leg from being amputated. However, further damage from her injuries were soon discovered: Leslie's vertebrae had healed together and her spinal cord was compressed. Due to this, she now has minimal use of her back legs, making it difficult for her to walk. Yet despite her circumstances, this precious angel doesn't let anything get her spirits down.

In our commitment to do all we can to help Leslie, we are excited to begin utilizing one of our in-house resources – The K-9 Gym – which was constructed for this very reason. We are hopeful that swimming therapy will play a vital role in aiding Leslie's journey to a healthy happy future.
