RUCKUS THE SNAKE SNIFFER

This year has been really prolific with snakes. Although I like snakes, I do not wish to be startled unexpectedly by them. Ruckus to the rescue! He finds the snakes and gives a specific bark to let me know he's found one. The only problem is that he most often has bitten the snake before I can rescue it & move it outside the fenced area. Hopefully they will survive with minor puncture wounds. Our other dog, Babe, just seems to be inquisitive when it comes to snakes. She is genuinely interested in seeing what Ruckus has found, but so far has not attempted to bite one. It's comforting to know Ruckus is patrolling the perimeter to check for slithering invaders!
