I was brought to Mackenzie’s on 1/10/2003 and my birth date is 1/1/1996. The nice folks at Mackenzie’s didn’t know my name, so they decided on Winston. I was lost and have no idea what happened to my original family. I’m making friends here, but it’s still a little lonely for an experienced hound dog like me. I’m used to being out and about, but they tell me it’s not safe to run loose because a car might hit me. Ouch! That’s something I never thought about before, so I guess it’s safer here. It’s hard for me to believe my family didn’t come looking for me when they had the chance, but I try not to think about that. There must be a new family out there who would love to have a beautiful boy like me and would make sure I never get lost again! I really love people and will gladly accept attention from anyone I meet! I really enjoy toys and treats, and going on short walks is one of my favorite things to do. I do however have some medical conditions that come with my age but I try not to let that stop me from enjoying my life.
